Very Berry Beet
Dogs are primarily carnivores, but they also love to nibble on sweet berries - after all, the fruits taste great! But that's not all: berries are also real vitamin C bombs that strengthen the immune system of four-legged friends. In order to provide dogs with all the nutrients they need, berries should not be neglected in addition to meat, fruit and vegetables. For example: Blueberries are considered a superfood for dogs - and of course not for no reason. The blue berries are full of vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and antioxidants.
Fun Fact: The superpower of raspberries - In addition to the fruits, you can also feed the leaves. The raspberry leaves are particularly recommended for pregnant bitches. Namely, they strengthen the muscles of the uterus and pelvic region so that, among other things, birth contractions can be increased.
Beetroot is not necessarily one of the most popular vegetables for us humans, although it has many advantages. It is very healthy and can be used in many ways. The decisive factor for this is the large number of minerals, trace elements and vitamins, which are super healthy and important for both humans and dogs. They are rich in minerals like magnesium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, and potassium. They also contain plenty of vitamin B, vitamin C and folic acid. In addition, beetroot consists of 90 percent water, is very low in calories and is therefore also suitable for overweight dogs.
Beetroot has a very positive effect on your dog's health. It can help to improve the coat and skin, to strengthen the immune system, to promote digestion and to stimulate the appetite.
Puppies, dogs with kidney problems or dogs prone to kidney stones should NOT eat spinach because of the oxalic acid it contains.
